Pitch Materials For App Start-Up

POA

What do you need to know about creating pitch materials for your app start-up. Knowing what to expect when talking to investors for the first time, and how to raise money for your tech start-up can feel a bit overwhelming.

The most successful app start-ups secure the correct kind of financial investment. The right funding strategy allows start-up founders and entrepreneurs to develop new product enhancements, hire team members, partner with corporate leaders, and much more. The first step towards securing funding begins with ensuring you have all the pitch materials an investor is likely to want to see.

Whether you are going for seed, series A, B and C funding rounds, for starters, you are going to need your elevator pitch, a short pitch deck or introductory video and your business plan at the ready. These should be informative, quick, easy to understand and branded.

What Next?

If you successfully gain the attention of the investor and they invite you to pitch to them, you are going to need all other business documentation ready and available. This includes a full pitch deck, your business plan, marketing plan (including market analysis and research), financial modelling (including cash flow, projections, balance sheet, capital requirements etc) and any prototypes, development plans and designs you have already produced for your app idea. At this point in the conversation, the investor may also like the resumes, or the CVs, of all the key team members involved in the project.

Providing enough information for your investor is vital for not only just attracting the investment, but also promoting close investor relations. It is important to send enough information at the start to spark their interest, without revealing all your USPs. Once you have a signed NDA, you will want to ensure that the investor receives all the information to ensure they can make an informed decision on whether they would like to invest in your app start-up.

The above list is just a brief outline of the documents you will need to be able to pitch to an investor. If you would like any help creating or designing any of the pitch materials, you will need for your funding run then please do not hesitate to drop us an email at info@thealtitudeagency.com or call us on 0203 150 0565.
